Businesses that accumulate hazardous waste have special requirements from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) for the storage and disposal of that waste. They are required by both agencies to label or mark containers or tanks with hazardous waste stickers to identify the presence of hazardous materials.
